Introduction

We have all heard the stories of lost ancient knowledge. Some of us believe them and others do not. I mean, it seems incomprehensible how an ancient society could have more knowledge than we have today. But, suppose for a minute that an ancient knowledge did exist and was recorded on manuscripts and tablets and handed down generation after generation. What would happen to the information over time? If the original society that created the knowledge was long gone, then all that would be left would be a story energy - a story of how the universe came into being - a story of physical and spiritual implications. Now, if a teacher wanted to convey such a story to the general populace, would the teacher talk about math and physics? No. The most effective means of teaching would be to describe the knowledge in a simple story form. So, if our speculation is correct, then ancient documents should contain a collection of simple stories and more complex scientific theory - if we know what we are looking for.
The first breakthrough came with the discovery of the natural language as the synthesis of the harmonic languages of color, music, numbers, and waves. The next step occurred during research into ancient music origins where suggestions of a synthesis of knowledge existed. 2000 years ago there was no functional differentiation between the study of music, art, mathematics, physics, philosophy, spirituality, and social order. Apparently the ancients were aware of a single underlying structure that formed the foundation of each academic discipline, and unified them as one. However, being aware that such an idea existed and being able to rediscover it were two vastly different realities. All attempts to relate the energy story of the natural language to ancient texts ended in failure. The language barrier was just too great. The final breakthrough came from an unlikely source. A friend introduced me to a controversial text called the Dyzan Stanzas. I make no claim to its legitimacy, but it presented a story of knowledge in rather unique way with prolific and accurate use of numbers (according to the natural language). The particular combination of numbers and words opened the door to a knew way to look at ancient texts. I was now looking for specific descriptions and relationships, and I had a general idea of the story. Step by step, piece by piece, the fragments of the story began to be defined. Certain sections were well delineated in some texts and poorly in others. Some texts focused on specific sections of the story and left others out entirely, or glossed over them. In the end, a very detailed story of the origin and formation of energy and matter in the universe was discovered in the ancient texts with a depth of comprehension that is in many ways incomprehensible in this modern age.
What texts contain this knowledge? Well, if all disciplines were once considered to be the same, then what texts would we expect to find? Maybe we should ask another question. What texts have been most prevelantly preserved? The answer is spiritual/mythological/philosophical texts. The first chapters of genesis, the Tao Te Ching, The Book of Knowing the Evolutions of RA, and of Overthrowing APEP, The Akkadian Creation Story, The Popul Vuh, The Prose and Poetic Eddas, The Rig Veda, Theogeny, Timeaus, and so on.

This book begins the story within a state of non-existence or nothing, and step by step describes the origin and development of life. Each step is referenced with one or more segments of ancient texts so that the reader will be able to see with clarity the meaning intended by the ancient authors. It is noted that only segments of texts are used in this book. Many of these texts are, however, fully translated with regards to the natural language and the story of energy, and will be found in later volumes of the Book of Origins Series.

Lesson 1 - Primeval Space, The Womb of the Universe

[Teacher]  In our previous lessons we learned what numbers mean, how they relate, and how they organize. But this is really a simple outsiders view. To gain the deeper insight we need to become immersed in the origin of all. We begin this journey with a simple question. What is the origin of the universe?

[Student]  I don’t know.

Well, then, let me ask another question. What does the word ‘universe’ mean?

According to the ancients it means the one song, the complete song.

And what have we learned is the origin of song?

The natural order and organization of waves.

Correct. So what does it then mean that the universe is one complete and perfect song?

It must mean that there is one perfect and complete origin from which the one perfect and complete song developed.

       Is there a first wave?

       There must be.

But where would such a first wave come from?

What you are asking is hard to conceptualize. You are suggesting that the first wave comes from nothing. But how is that possible?

The ancients said that of all things, this is the greatest mystery, and the source of spirituality (Tao Te Ching).

The story does begin with nothing, as discovered by the ancient sages. Let me read to you some of their descriptions:

Then was not non-existent nor existent. There was no realm of ear, no sky beyond it. What covered in, and where? and what gave shelter? Was water there, unfathomed depth of water? Death was not then, nor was there aught immortal. No sign was there, the day’s and night’s divider.

Rgveda 10:129

This universe existed in the shape of Darkness, unperceived, destitute of distinctive marks, unattainable by reasoning, unknowable, wholly immersed as it were, in deep sleep.
Manu-Smrti 1:5

There was something containing all. Before heaven and earth it exists. Tranquil, incorporeal, alone it stands and does not change.” “Before heaven and earth had taken form all was vague and amorphous. Therefore it was called the Great Beginning.

Tao Te Ching

He existed as Taaroa. In immense nothing, there was no earth, no sky, no sea, no man.
Taaroa calls but nothing answers.

Oceanic

What can we say about the origin? Do we call it god? Do we call it spiritual? Do we call it the Great Forever? The answers to these questions form the foundation of our search for knowledge and spirituality.

* * *

In the universe of waves, what lasts forever?

       Nothing.

       Why do you say this?

Because waves are imbued with the natural property of harmonic change. Thus waves will have an origin and will degrade over time until they exceed the laws that bind the universe together.

Correct. Nothing precedes the universe and nothing follows the universe. Therefore, the state of nothing is both the womb and the grave of the universe, and is the omni-present and forever state. We call it the primeval nothing for it precedes all and transcends all, and we represent it as a boundless black sphere for its darkness extends forever in all directions.

What is the property of nothing?

If the first wave is formed from nothing, and the order, organization and life of the universe is formed from that first wave, then wouldn’t the state of nothing be required to have some fundamental property that includes all of the laws of order, organization and life yet to be created?

       Yes. As the ancients said,

Suppose a person makes all kinds of figures in gold and is always remodeling each form into all the rest; - somebody points to one of them and asks what it is. By far the safest and truest answer is, ‘That is god’; and not to call the triangle or any other figures which are formed in the gold ‘these’, as though they had existence, since they are in a process of change while he is making the assertion.

Timaeus

      Do you follow their words?

I think so. Gold is not permanent. It can be molded into many shapes even as we are discussing it. Now it is a snake; now it is a ring; in a moment it may take the form of a frog. We might say that the essence of gold is god to the various figures because it is the only quality that remains unchanged; and the various forms are formed out of it and in it, as though the gold itself was the form - and yet not.

       Let’s read further:

The same argument applies to the universal nature which receives all bodies - that must be always called the same; for, in as much as she always receives all things, she never departs at all from her own nature, and never in any way, or at any time, assumes a form like that of any of the things which enter into her; she is the natural recipient of all impressions, and is stirred and informed by them, and appears different from time to time by reason of them. But the forms which enter into and go out of her are the likenesses of eternal realities modeled after their patterns in a wonderful and mysterious manner.

Timaeus

So, what can we say about the primeval state of nothing?

That anything that can exist does exist only because the primal state is capable of producing it, receiving it, reflecting it, and being reflected by it, just as the forms come out of the gold and are reabsorbed back into it.

There are three states of the primeval nothing which we will investigate. First is the state of nothing from which things are created. Second is the state of nothing which receives those things that are created. Third is the created things that reflect the state from which they are created and to which they are absorbed.

As the ancients said:

We may liken the receiving principle to a mother, and the source or spring to a father, and the intermediate nature to a child; and may remark further, that if the model is to take every variety of form, then the matter in which the model is fashioned will not be duly prepared, unless it is formless, and free from the impress of any of those shapes which it is hereafter to receive from without.

Timaeus

What does it mean that the source cannot have any impression of form?

If the source had an impression of form, then that impression would appear in each and every new form. For example, if we start baking with cookie dough, then we will only make cookies. If we attempt to make bread out of the cookie dough, the bread will turn out badly. Thus the universal source must be free from form as though the lack of form is the perfection.

Correct. The power of the primeval state of nothing is its all pervasive quality of non-description. It is all things and nothing, or rather, it has the capacity to become all things and nothing.

Could it be any other way?

No. To encompass all things and nothing, to be all things and nothing, is truly the perfect origin state.

We can learn a lot from the ancient wisdom, but we can also use our intellect and senses to learn anew what they learned.

Imagine primeval nothing. Does it have light? Color?

No. If there is nothing, and light is something, then nothing is darkness.

Imagine primeval nothing. Is there time in nothing?

I’m not sure how to answer you. Time is an elusive property. I cannot say that it has physical existence so I do not know if it can be a property of nothing.

The Primeval Nothing

Your instincts lead you in the right direction. Time is not a state of physical existence, but rather a measuring of physical existence. Thus the measuring property must precede the existence property, and the property of time must precede the existence of the first wave. We say that the property of time is vague and amorphous in that it has no self-defined shape; and we call it the all-pervasive essence of the state of primeval nothing.

Imagine primeval nothing. Is there distance in nothing?

Given your answer as to the property of time, I would say yes, for distance is also a measuring of the physical.

Correct. Distance is a measuring of the physical and thus must precede the existence property of the first wave. We say that the property of distance is vague and amorphous in that it has no self-defined shape, and we call it the all pervasive essence of the state of primeval nothing.

Are there any other measuring properties?

       No.

Correct. The state of primeval nothing is then perfectly defined by its two eternal essences of time and distance, which are the source of all, and contain all, yet contain nothing. These three are the eternal entity. Therefore, if one says god is forever, then god is embodied in these three: the essence of time, the essence of distance, and nothing.

Lesson 2 - The Mother/Father

It is said by the ancients that god, the eternal, is self created or self existent:

That One Thing, breathless, breathed by it’s own nature. Apart from it was nothing what- soever. Darkness was there. At first concealed in darkness this All was indiscriminated chaos. All that existed then was void and formless.

Rgveda 10:129

Then the divine Self-existent (Svayambhu himself) indiscernible, but making all this, the great elements and the rest, discernible, appeared with irresistible creative power, dispelling the darkness. He who can be perceived by the internal organ alone, who is subtle, indiscernible, and eternal, who contains all created beings, and is inconceivable, shone forth of his own will.

Manu-Smrti 1:5-7

The god Neb-er-tcher said: - ‘I am the creator of what has come into being, and I myself came into being under the form of the god Khepera, and I came into being in primeval time. I came into being in the form of Khepera, and I am the creator of what did come into being, that is to say, I formed myself out of the primeval matter, and I made and formed myself out of the substance which existed in primeval time. My name is Ausares (Osiris) who is the primeval matter of primeval matter.’”

The Book of Knowing the Evolutions of Ra, and of Overthrowing Apep

So, if the eternal god is nothing, then how does god become self-created?

The essences of nothing must somehow be both the cause and the substance.

But, if they are the cause and the substance, then how is it that they are the cause and the substance?

       I’m not sure.

In the state of primeval nothing, time and distance are separate essences, yet we know that in our current state, time and distance are inseparable. Therefore, their union must be the substance, and the state of nothing must be the cause.

What does it mean that in our current state time and distance are inseparable?

When you walked here today did it take time?

       Yes.

       There is your simple answer.

What does it mean that the separate essences of time and distance are the cause?

That question is not so easily answered. So, let me ask you, what are the properties of time and distance within the state of nothing?

       They are equally all pervasive.

If they are equally all pervasive, then how are they differentiated?

I don’t know. They must have some kind of definable characteristics.

Yes. But suppose we consider that idea for a moment. If they were slightly different but mostly the same would we really consider them to be different?

No. They would have to be considerably different.

In the state of the all pervasive primeval nothing. Is it possible to have two states that are somewhat alike and somewhat different?

Well, now that you put it that way, I see where you are headed. If we have two states that are somewhat alike, it suggests that there must exist two states that are exact opposites. This goes along with the principle of the origin. Whatever the origin is, it can only be that state which precedes all others.

Correct. We have discovered a fundamental principle. The origin state includes two states that are perfect opposites. Now the ancient texts say that these two origin states unite to create substance. What action is required for unification to take place?

      Sex.

Yes. Thus we apply the term male to one state and the term female to the other state.

What are the male and female states?

They must be described the by essences of time and distance.

Primeval Nothing

       Correct. But which is which?

       I don’t know.

The answer can be found from the qualitative descriptions of male and female. What are some that you know?

Male is projecting, active, hard. Female is receiving, passive, soft.

Of those properties you listed, can they tell us anything about time and distance?

       I’m not sure.

Well, let me ask you this, when you are out in a field and you can see the edge of the forest, the fence line, and the mountains in the distance, do you feel as though the distance you are seeing is absorbing you or projecting into you?

I think I feel as though I am immersed in the distance.

How about when you are walking? Do you feel as though you are entering the distance or the distance is entering you?

I feel as though I am projecting into the distance.

Now consider sitting on a chair in a room with time passing second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour. Are you absorbed in the time or is time projecting into you?

I feel as though time is passing through me, or attacking or changing me.

Let’s go back to when you are walking. Walking also takes time. How do you feel about the passage of time as you are walking?

I am walking a certain distance in a certain time, but the difference is that I control the distance but I do not control the time.

Now let’s reconsider the origin state containing the two essences of time and distance. Does distance project into time, or does time project into distance?

I would guess that time projects into distance.

Yes. Time is the male property and distance is the female property. This is why we say, ‘Father Time’, and we will add to it the name 'Mother Distance'.

Now that we know the sexual identity of the origin state, what is the cause of the male time and the female distance coming together?

Primeval Nothing

There must be some attraction or desire.

Correct. But what would that be?

Is it so simple as to say that opposites attract?

Maybe, but why do they attract?

Is it possible that it has to do with the concept of being all pervasive. For example, the property of Time is all pervasive, yet there is this other property of Distance that is somehow opposite and different and existing in a different state. Thus Time is not exactly all pervasive, but he has the desire to be all pervasive. As a result, there is a natural attraction to know and experience the other side.

Yes. That is exactly the answer. But, how does Father Time go to Mother Distance and experience her?

       I don’t know.

If Father Time is an undefined essence, and Mother Distance is an undefined essence, then in order to cross the void separating them, the two must somehow become defined so that the void can also become defined, and thus crossed.

If the Mother/Father essences are all pervasive, then if we said that Time was here, then Distance must also be here? And if we said time was there, then distance must also be there?

       Yes.

        In the same place?

No, they are opposites and thus somehow qualitatively different.

How do we define the absolute opposite nature? Do you remember your lessons? (See The Origin of Understanding, Chapters 5,14,21,22)

From this point, the presentation begins to get much more detailed and descriptive with continued and detailed correlation with ancient texts.  If you are curious as to why the book starts out the way it does, the answer is simple.  The entire creation is said by the ancients to begin in the mind of god with the formation of thought, and then the male and female identities.  It is this pair, this union, that forms the backbone of all creation.  It is pure truth to say that love created the universe.  Love is built into its construction at the very inception.
