An Overview of
The
Metaphysics of Numbers
The nature of numbers has been one of the most elusive entities in the
universe. The one thing that truly frightens mathematicians is the
lack of a perceived solid foundation for numbers. The information
contained on this website and the harmonic language books
describes an origin for numbers that is different from set theory,
although related in many ways.
So, what do we mean by the
metaphysics of numbers. Metaphysics effectively means the
unification of science and spirit. In this particular case it
means the unification of numbers with spirit. Traditional views of
such relationships almost entirely evolve around identifying Letters
with numbers, but this is a very specialized system. In order to begin to understand
what numbers mean, one has to go back to the origin and follow the path
of spiritual development which is simultaneously the path of physical
development. It turns out that there is only one language that
precisely describes and defines this path, and it is numbers. All
other languages describe various aspects of the path, such as color,
musical tone, wave position, emotion, etc. Only numbers are
capable of naming each position along the path, and providing the
context with the other languages for unifying all positions within a
single system of physical/spiritual knowledge.
Examples of meaning are easy to
generate from common experience. Consider the number 1. It
is the reference number for all other numbers, and as such should
represent identity. But what about the number 2? What does
it mean? We know that in music (one of the harmonic languages) that each multiple or division of 2 yields the same
tone. For example, if we begin the a C tone, and double its
frequency, then we arrive at another C tone. Thus in this single
step we have realized that the numbers 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, ... all
represent one singular identity.
Consider the number 3. It is the first
number to clearly identify itself as being different from the number
1. Yet, we know that in music the number 3 is perceived to be the
closest of any number to the numbers 1 and 2. This is why we say
that if we were to arbitrarily pick yellow to represent 1, then we would
pick yellow-green to represent 3 given that yellow-green is the closest
color to yellow. Further investigation yields a most interesting
result, namely that if we multiply by the the number 3 twelve times we
arrive back where we started. For example, if we said that 1 was
yellow, and we multiplied 1 by 3 twelve times, then we would arrive back
at yellow. Or if we said that 1 was a C tone, and we multiplied
its frequency by 3 twelve times, then we would arrive back at a C
tone. Thus we learn that there are only 12 numbers in the
universe, and 12 colors, and 12 tones, and according to the ancients 12
demi-gods, or 12 energy centers, or 12 spiritual energy centers that
control destinies (such as the astrological signs). Now, we can
clearly identify the multiples of 3 by their exact numbers, namely 1, 3,
9, 27, 81, ... but the numbers quickly get very large and become
meaningless. Thus a new technique was adapted to view the numbers
in a different way. We simply count them as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, 9, 10, 11, 12. But it must be understood that these 12 numbers
have no direct relationship to the counting numbers. Their meaning
can only be understood in the context of the spiritual/physical circle
of the universe. Of course we discover that we have another
problem. There is the species circle orientation and the harmonic
circle orientation. The harmonic orientation counts the numbers this
way:
1, 8, 3, 10, 5, 12, 7, 2, 9, 4, 11, 6.
But there are so many systems. Take for
example the cycle of the day and the year which we use to describe the
harmonic wave. The harmonic wave is divided into 4 parts described
as the birth-morning-spring, the life-afternoon-summer, the
dying-evening-fall, and the death-night-winter. the pure harmonic
numbers for the harmonic wave cycle are 4, 5, 6, and 7. But just
as with the circle numbers we can identify them as 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Clearly there is a foundation
meaning given to numbers, but then they begin to spin off in multiple
directions taking on meanings specific to a particular perception.
This is why we say that perception is the key to unlocking the universe.
